The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.
Applications are now open and can shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must meet the following criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home with a combined gross house income that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined family revenue doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not submit any proof of income.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent people from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the correct Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are learning or intend to research in a public university or TVET college website in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges nsfas 2025 should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
